LINDSAY KNEZ, M.A., CCC-SLP, BCBA – FOUNDER

Lindsay is the co-founder of K1ds Count, LLC. Lindsay realized her purpose and career path while working at a group home for children with autism. She spent 4 years working at the group home while studying speech pathology at Indiana University. The children’s struggles with speech and language often led to severe behavioral problems and prompted Lindsay to attend graduate school at IU to learn more about speech and language disorders and treatment. She graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in speech and hearing sciences and psychology in 2005, and she received a master’s degree from IU in speech language pathology in 2007. Lindsay then spent 2 years studying autism and applied behavior analysis at Ball State and has been a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) since May 2012. She has experience working with over 250 children with autism as a speech therapist and BCBA in a variety of settings, including a residential school, public and charter schools, outpatient clinics, First Steps, and ABA centers. Through K1ds Count, it is Lindsay’s goal to combine the best of each therapy discipline to holistically serve each child with autism individually.

FRANK KNEZ, FOUNDER

Frank is the co-founder of K1ds Count, LLC. He attended Wabash College and earned his bachelor’s degree and later achieved his MBA through Indiana Wesleyan. Frank spent approximately 3 years in supply chain management at PepsiCo, and for the last 10 years, he has been able to apply this experience to the development and management of therapy services. Frank supports K1ds Count’s operations, business development, billing, professional development, and HR needs. He enjoys interacting with families, children, and therapists daily. Frank looks forward to helping K1ds Count continue to provide comprehensive services, quality employment experiences, and positively impact the communities we serve.

KIM CHAPMAN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR K1DS COUNT

Kim is the Executive Director of K1ds Count. Kim attended Indiana State University and acheived her degree in early childhood education. She has many years of experience serving children as a teacher, First Steps therapist, ABA therapist, billing specialist, and director of a preschool. Kim diligently oversees all daily operations for the children and staff at K1ds Count.

AMY PICKETT, MA, BCBA – DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL SERVICES

Amy is a licensed teacher and received her master’s in ABA therapy from Ball State. She completed her student teaching on a reservation and has worked with children with autism at a residential school as well as in several clinic based settings. Amy’s strengths include creating individualized behavior intervention plans, collaborating with other disciplines, and communicating and teaching therapists and families about behavioral strategies. Amy oversees all behavioral service programs at K1ds Count, including clinic, home, community, and school based services. She also helps to lead parent and community training as well as supervision of our student clinicians. In addition, recently, Amy has had the opportunity to integrate ABA into 6 charter schools in the Indianapolis area.

ALLIE KRUMB, RBT, GENERAL MANAGER

Allie graduated from IUPUI in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a minor in Psychology. Allie has worked with people with disabilities for 10 years and truly enjoys impacting people’s lives. Allie first started in the field by being a Transitional Living Consultant, helping adults with disabilities transition to independent living. Through this experience, Allie learned about ABA and soon transitioned to a local ABA center. Prior to joining K1ds Count, Allie had four years of experience as an ABA therapist and team leader. Allie has worked in a variety of settings including schools, center, and homes. Her clinical interests include assessment and treatments of challenging behaviors, functional communication, and sibling interactions. Allie is nearing completion of her Masters in Special Education with an emphasis on ABA, and looks forward to continuing her role of General Manager for kids, families, and therapists here at K1ds Count.

ALEXA HENRY, BCBA, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR BEHAVIORAL SERVICES

Alexa is a native of South Bend, IN. The oldest of three siblings, she naturally gravitated toward caring for her younger brother and sister. This lead to babysitting and nanny positions throughout high school and college. She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University in May 2013. Alexa learned about ABA the summer after she graduated from Purdue and began her career in ABA as a therapist, working her way up to clinical coordinator within her first two years. Alexa became a BCaBA in February 2016 while enrolled in graduate school. She received her master’s degree in ABA and Autism from Ball State University in May 2016 and soon after became a credentialed BCBA. She has worked with a variety of clients from the ages of 2-14 in both school and clinic settings. Alexa’s clinical interests include AAC devices and language acquisition and social skills development

LAURA BROWN, M.S., CCC-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST LEAD

Laura was born and raised in Terre Haute, IN where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Indiana State University. She later relocated to an Autism clinic in Phoenix where she discovered her passion for helping these children learn the beauty of communication and interactive play. Laura has worked with individuals diagnosed with various disorders including sensory feeding issues, receptive and expressive language delay, pragmatic language delay, voice disorders, dysarthria, and dysphagia. Laura strives to help individuals increase their independence with communication, participation in activities of daily living, and safety to one day become independent members of society.

DANIELLE WINKLER, OTR, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST LEAD

Born and raised on the south side of Indianapolis, Danielle attended the University of Indianapolis to complete her bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to pursue her Master of Occupational Therapy. She believes in the holistic approach of therapy, integrating the unique physical, emotional, and psychosocial components of the child while embracing their abilities. A child’s potential extends beyond the boundaries of a diagnosis and she strives to break the environmental barriers to maximize their success and growth by incorporating family values into therapeutic intervention. Her background includes program development and curriculum design of community based outreach programs for at-risk populations, designed to promote character growth and skill building. She has worked in community, outpatient, and home-based settings with children and young adults of many backgrounds and circumstances. Her clinical interests include implementation of visual and sensory supports to reduce behavior and improve overall participation in activities of daily living while fostering a sense of independence for the kids we serve. She is most excited about the opportunity to collaborate with other passionate team members!

HILLARY OTT, OTR, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST LEAD

Hillary grew up in Franklin Township on the southeast side of Indianapolis. She attended the University of Southern Indiana where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in health services with a minor in psychology, as well as her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Hillary is passionate about the fundamental constructs of OT, placing importance on inclusion, well-being, and the capacity for enhanced quality of life for all individuals. At the end of her high school career, Hillary worked as an aid for children diagnosed with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders, and knew her passion for helping kiddos with disabilities fit hand-in-hand with the profession of OT. While completing her pediatric fieldwork in Nashville, TN, Hillary had the opportunity to work with children diagnosed with down syndrome, autism, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorder, and various psychiatric diagnoses. Hillary enjoys employing sensory integration techniques to enhance the child’s ability to complete tasks, and places great importance on collaborating with parents, ABA therapists, and other K1ds Count professionals in order to facilitate the greatest progress for each child’s journey.

BRIGHID O’MALLEY, M.S., BCBA, LEAD BCBA CLINICAL MANAGER

SHANNON CONNERS, MA, BCBA, BCBA CLINICAL MANAGER

Shannon grew up in small town in Northeast Indiana. She graduated from DeKalb High School in 1999 and went on to obtain her undergrad degree in psychology from the University of Indianapolis in 2003. While attending the U of I, she was introduced to the field of ABA by a professor that thought she might be a good fit. She began working with an 8 year old girl on the autism spectrum in her home and has not looked back since. Shannon has worked as an ABA therapist since 2001 in homes, clinics, schools, daycares and churches. She completed her masters in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in autism. She hopes to become a credentialed BCBA soon.

KAYLA RIDER, MA, BCBA, BCBA CLINICAL MANAGER

Kayla grew up in the small town of Elwood, IN. After high school, she went to the University of Indianapolis for Athletic Training, but ended up switching her major to psychology when she learned about ABA and Autism. She had one class in undergrad that really opened up her eyes to the field of ABA. After that class, she knew this was the field for her! She had always loved working with individuals with special needs and volunteered at a special needs camp in high school. After graduation, she went to work as an ABA therapist in a center for 3 years before joining the team here at K1ds Count. After working in that center for 2 years, she decided to go back to get her masters in ABA. She attended Ball State University (online) and recently received her master’s degree in ABA with a concentration in Autism. She will soon become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

KARA GOGOLEW, MA, BCBA, BCBA CLINICAL MANAGER

Kara lives in the Brownsburg area. She has 2 years of experience as an ABA therapist. She recently completed her master’s degree in ABA therapy with an emphasis in autism from Ball State. Outside of work, Kara is very involved with color guard. Kara loves making a different in the lives of children at K1ds Count and looks forward to soon being a BCBA.

MORGAN HUNTER, MA, BCBA, BCBA CLINICAL MANAGER

Morgan began her career working with children with autism in a residential school on the crisis management team.  She has 4 years of ABA clinic based experience and became of BCBA in 2017. Her professional goal is to go back to school to receive a PhD in Behavior Science.  Outside of work, Morgan loves traveling, outdoors, animals, and sports.

SUSAN PARKER, BCaBA, PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR

Susan grew up in Indianapolis. She received a degree in general studies and later returned to complete continuing education for ABA. She completed supervision and achieved certification as a board certified assistant behavior analyst. Susan loves children, seeing their daily progress, and continuing to learn and grow in the field of ABA. Outside of work, Susan enjoys running, photography, being outside with her dogs, parks, walks, and road trips.

SONIA HALL, RBT, PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR

Sonia received a bachelors’ degree in Human Services from Purdue University. She has been completing behavioral therapy for over 3 years. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading books. Sonia is currently pursuing her masters’ degree in ABA from Capella University. She hopes to finish in the next year and sit for her exam to become a BCBA.

SHANNON HENDERSON, RBT, PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT

Shannon grew up in Trafalgar, IN. She received a B.S. in Psychology from IUPUC in 2015, and will be graduating in May 2018 with a master’s degree in ABA from Ball State University. Her career goal is to become a BCBA. Upon starting K1ds Count, she was new to the field of ABA and enjoyed making an impact in the lives of children. She knew she was in the right career from the start. She believes the absolute best part about ABA is seeing the kids make triumphs, big or little, and working with a team that celebrates those successes with you. Outside of K1ds Count, Shannon loves traveling, baking, making crafts, spending time with friends and family.

RUSANA BAILEY, RBT, PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT

Rusana grew up in the small town of North Judson, and graduated in 2015 from Indiana Wesleyan University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She enjoyed being involved in an organization (Wildcat Academy) that helped high school kids with developmental disabilities transition into a college environment. After graduating college, she came across ABA and has seen nothing but positive impact on the kids and families’ lives. One of her favorite parts of the job is building relationships with the kids and their families. After working as an RBT for close to a year, she’s decided to pursue a Master’s Degree in ABA to become a BCBA. Ru looks forward to continue growing as a therapist and being a part of Kids Count.

EMILY JOHNSTON, RBT, PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR

Emily is originally from Missouri, but has spent most of her life in Indiana. She graduated high school in 2009 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University in 2013. While Emily enjoyed teaching, she always felt something was missing. With being a special needs math tutor in high school as well as having multiple family members with disabilities, it gave her the idea to look into special education programs. During her second year teaching, Emily had a student with ASD, and her student’s parents credited his success on Applied Behavior Analysis. Emily researched ABA and decided to look for jobs within the field at the end of the school year and, as they say, the rest is history. Emily has been a Registered Behavior Technician since January 2016 and holds a master’s degree in ABA through Ball State a goal of becoming a BCBA. Emily loves working with the children on a personalized level and likes seeing the growth they make on a day-to-day basis. She believes the best part of ABA is seeing children acquire new skills that will help them with their daily lives and comparing their growth from their first days all the way to the present – it can be like night and day! Emily looks forward to continuing her career with K1ds Count!

LAUREN LONG, RBT, PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR

Lauren is originally from Florida, where she received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of West Florida. She is currently enrolled the ABA program at Ball State University. Her career goal is to become a BCBA. When she is not devoting herself to work or school, she enjoys drawing, hiking and doing yoga.

HILARY SCHULTZ, RBT, PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT

Hilary grew up in Greenfield, IN. She attended Indiana State where she received her B.S. in Psychology. Currently, she is working toward receiving her M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis at Ball State and will then become a BCBA. When Hilary is not working or taking classes, she enjoys playing with her dogs, traveling and engaging in outdoor activities.

YASMEEN LEWIS, RBT, PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT

Yasmeen is from Richmond, Indiana. She studied at Indiana State University to receive her B.S. in speech and language pathology. She loves cooking and crafts. Yasmeen is currently in school pursuing her graduate degree in applied behavior analysis to become a BCBA. She is excited to help children learn, grow, and develop through ABA therapy.

LINDSEY ASHLEY, RBT

Lindsey grew up in Hendricks County and is a 2001 graduate of Tri-West High School. During high school, Lindsey became interested in working with individuals with special needs through a project with the school special education class. During this time, Lindsey discovered her passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities and severe behavioral needs. Lindsey then moved to Phoenix, Arizona and attended college at Mesa Community College and Arizona State University, graduating with her bachelor’s in Social Work in 2006 and after an intensive advanced master’s program, received her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2007. After graduating from college, Lindsey moved back home to Indiana to be closer to her family and start her career as a Behavior Consultant for the Medicaid Waiver program. Lindsey provided behavior management to adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families or support staff in a variety of settings, including home, school, employment, community, and social settings. Lindsey began to develop a significant interest in working specifically with children with Autism again and served as a Behavior Specialist and later became a Clinical Manager of a residential unit of 10 boys with Autism, ages 6-12. Lindsey has been working for the past 2 years specifically as an ABA therapist and is so excited to be a member of K1ds Count team! Lindsey loves the kids and families that she works with and is so rewarded by seeing the progress that these children make on a daily basis!

TAYLOR KNAPP, RBT

Taylor graduated in 2012 with an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus in special education inclusion. During her time in school, she had the wonderful opportunity of working with children with developmental and emotional disabilities at a developmental preschool. She then taught in an inclusion center for three years where she worked with children with a wide variety of developmental and emotional disabilities before coming to K1ds Count. Taylor is currently pursuing a degree in child psychology. She has always had a deep love for ABA therapy because of the wonderful impact that it has had on the lives of my her own family members. She is especially excited to be a member of the K1ds Count team because of their family first approach and community involvement.

KRISTI WOO, RBT

Kristi graduated as a medical assistant from Sanford-Brown. She became interested in this field through her own personal experience with her 3 year-old daughter. Kristi is flexible, interested in learning, and determined to become a registered behavior technician and grow within K1ds Count.

CORI KEEN, RBT

Cori grew up in Northern Indiana but moved to Indianapolis to pursue a BA in Psychology at IUPUI. She became interested in ABA therapy when her nephew was diagnosed with Autism. While pursuing her degree, she volunteered at a children’s shelter and worked with adults and children who had developmental and physical disabilities. The more she worked, she realized that this was the career path she belonged in. She plans to attend graduate school and get her Master’s in ABA. She is very excited to continue to learn and grow at K1ds Count.

RANDA ANDREWS, RBT

Randa grew up on the south side of Indianapolis, and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Randa enjoys gaining experience serving children with autism, and is looking forward to grow within K1ds Count!

KATELYN KOZMA, RBT

Katelyn grew up in a very small town in Illinois, but moved to Indiana in middle school. It was a couple of years later, when she started babysitting her neighbor’s children, that she realized her passion for working with children. After one of her neighbor’s children was diagnosed with Autism, Katelyn researched the disorder and, having such a strong connection with the child, was moved to pursue Special Education. Katelyn graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Anderson University in May of 2016. She is excited to grow in her knowledge of ABA and in her passion for the work she is doing in her clients’ lives.

ERIN SHEETS, RBT

Erin grew up in Carmel, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University in 2010 with a degree in Special Education. After college, Erin worked for six years as a special education teacher, serving preschoolers and elementary school students with a variety of disabilities including autism, emotional disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, ADD/ADHD and learning disabilities. The majority of Erin’s teaching experience comes from developing programming for self-contained classrooms for students with high behavioral needs. Erin is now enrolled in the ABA master’s program at Ball State, and she is excited to have the opportunity to expand her knowledge and grow at Kids Count.

JESSICA MCELRAVEY, RBT

Jessica graduated from Purdue University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Now she is working toward her master’s degree. She has always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. After helping out at a pediatric dentist office she realized that she enjoyed working with children. When Jessica found out about ABA she thought it would be a good fit for her. She would be able to make a difference while working with children. Jessica is looking forward to growing within K1ds Count.

LAUREN CARVER, RBT

Lauren was raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan; She recently relocated to Crawfordsville, Indiana. Her experience working with kids began with watching the neighborhood kids. She has known from a very early age that she wanted to work with kids. Prior to K1ds Count, she had one year of ABA experience. Lauren attended Baker College in Michigan for Early Childhood Education and looks forward to continuing her education in Indiana. Her favorite part about working with the kids is watching them grow and develop new skills. Lauren is determined to become an RBT and is excited to grow with K1ds Count!

JASMINE AL-ANZI, RBT

Jasmine obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Indianapolis where she majored in human biology and ran for the school’s cross country and track team. She was voted team captain her junior and senior years where she was able to be a team motivator and leader. Jasmine continued schooling and is currently in a master’s program for occupational therapy. Upon certification as an occupational therapist she hopes to continue to work with and motivate kids to make developmental progress.

KATIE KELP, RBT

Katie grew up in the town of Crawfordsville. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 2011. She has always had a passion for working with kids, and was a nanny before discovering the world of ABA. When she is not working, she enjoys the theater and acting. She obtained her RBT in May of 2016. She looks forward to continuing her work at K1ds count! It is like working with family each and every day.

JENNA BURKHARD, RBT

Jenna graduated from Zionsville High School in 2015. She started working with kids at an Early Childhood Development School in Zionsville, where she was an assistant teacher. She currently is a sophomore in college where she has transferred from The University of Southern Indiana to attend IUPUI, where she plans on graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She started working for K1ds Count Therapy during the summer of 2016. It took one summer for her to change her career from Gerontology to Psychology, after learning about ABA therapy and experiencing working with children having autism. She has always loved working with kids and has a strong interest in learning about how the human brain functions. Once graduated from IUPUI with a degree in Psychology she hopes to return to K1ds Count.

EMBER SHEPHARD, RBT

Ember has at Kids Count LLC for over a year. She is a registered behavior technician who tends to work with children who are non-verbal, but enjoys the individuality of each client that she is placed with. She came into this career field after her own child was diagnosed with autism two years ago. Ember is also an Indiana Family Advisory Council Member for Children with Special Health Care Services where she works to express the importance of ABA programs and autism services such as Kids Count, within our state. She intends to complete her degree in behavior psychology and move into the master’s program for ABA therapy.

SAMANTHA GRIMMER, RBT

Samantha graduated from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a BS in Psychology and a focus on school age children. While in college she was the director of a preschool gymnastics team and had the opportunity to work with children with special needs. After college Samantha worked as an ABA therapist in clinics, homes, schools, and daycares for two years before moving to Indiana. She is excited to be RBT certified and grow within K1ds Count!

DANYELLE BONEBRAKE, RBT

Danyelle is an RBT at our Crawfordsville location. Previous to K1ds Count, she worked with disabled adults and also with troubled teens within group homes. She has also worked as an assistant preschool teacher. She enjoys sunshine, canoeing, sports, and spending time with friends and family. She wants to continue learning ABA and grow within the field.

CARIN LAFOLLETTE, RBT

Carin has been with K1ds Count since May of 2016. She previously worked as a paraprofessional in an Emotional Disability classroom. She grew up in Darlington and participated in 4-H for 10 years. She has always had a passion for working with kids. She is currently a mom to two dogs and loves them to pieces. Some is very excited to spend many more years at K1ds Count and considers her coworkers family.

ALLIE BOYD, RBT

Allie is 22 years old and a student at IU. She is a Mom to two children. She has previously been a nanny for 6 years to a boy with autism. She has been a volunteer at a handi-capable camp for 8 years, and has always spent time working in child care. She enjoys sewing and painting.

SHELBY HESSION, RBT

Shelby is from Brownsburg, Indiana. She is a Purdue University graduate. She has been in the field of ABA for 2 years. She is an RBT, float, and ABA therapist at K1ds Count. She has been a part of our team since February. She’s on the path of becoming a BCBA through Ball State University. In her spare time she loves to be outside and stay active.

BRITTNY GIBBS – RBT

Brittny grew up in Pittsboro Indiana. Brittny enjoys raising her 4 great children. She graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a nanny for 10 years. Her career goal is to further her education with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Some of her hobbies are sewing, crafting, hiking.

SANDI EARL, RBT

Sandi grew up in Harlan, KY. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech. Her husband is ex navy, and they have 2 daughters, ages 13 and 4. She previously worked for Avon Community Schools in the Life Skills classroom. She enjoys photography and scrapbooking, and is RBT certified. She is very excited to be a part of the K1ds Count family and looks forward to many years to come!

AARON PRULHIERE, RBT

Aaron graduates in December from IUPUI with bachelor’s degrees in Neuroscience and Psychology. He was drawn to ABA as a means of putting his education to use in making other’s lives better. Aaron is excited to bring his energy and dedication to bear in helping the children at K1ds Count grow and thrive!

ANDREA ETTENBERGER, RBT

Andrea grew on a farm in Northwest Indiana. She graduated from Purdue with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Andrea graduated from University of Phoenix with a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision. Andrea is beginning her master’s of ABA starting this spring. VERONICA GODUTO, RBT

Veronica is a 2012 graduate of Brownsburg High School. Veronica started at K1ds Count in the Spring of 2016. She is very excited to be in the field and loves working with the kids. She lives in Jamestown with her husband Parker and puppy Shiloh.

MORGAN WILLHITE, RBT

Morgan is from Hillsdale Indiana. She graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Art Therapy. Her career goals are to help children with disabilities. She would eventually like to teach ceramic classes with children who have disabilities. Morgan’s hobbies are going to concerts, attending sports events, making pottery and spending time with her loved ones.

ALICE DANCLER, RBT

Alice grew up in Danville, IN and is the mother of 3 kids. Her kiddos are ages 14, 8 and 2. Alice runs a non-profit basketball club that provides workout opportunities for kids in between running kiddos around to sports. She attended IUPUI and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Her career goal was to work with kids and she is doing just that. Alice was a teacher for several years and was blessed with the opportunity to be a stay at home mom with each of her kids prior to coming to K1ds Count.

BRITTANY HARMON, RBT

Brittany grew up on the westside of Indianapolis and moved to Danville 5 years ago. She has a B.A. in Photography from Herron School of Art and an Associates of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Ivy Tech. She has always had a passion for helping people and stepping into the medical field helped her fulfill that passion. Moving into ABA Therapy was a career change but she believes this is the right place for her to help our kids grow and live amazing lives. During her down time, she enjoys traveling and going to college football games.

CORY WILSON, RBT

Cory spilt her childhood between Ft. Lewis, WA and McCordsville, IN. She obtained a B.A. in Psychology from IUPUI and is currently enrolled in the ABA program at Ball State. She hopes to become a BCBA in the near future. When she is not devoting her time to work, she enjoys reading and collecting comic books.

ASHLEY WARD, RBT

Ashley grew up in Orange County, California. She attended Western Governors University for Interdisciplinary Studies. Her goal is to eventually become a Special Ed Teacher. During her down time, she enjoys spending time with her two children.

HANNAH BAUMER, RBT

Hannah is a RBT who grew up in Woodburn, IN. She obtained her Bachelors from Taylor University in Communication Studies with a Minor in Psychology. Her career goal is to enroll into the ABA program at Ball State and later become a BCBA. Hannah loves sports, shopping and hanging out with her friends.

JACKIE MCMASTERS, RBT

Jackie is a RBT here at K1ds Count. She grew up in Lebanon, IN. She attended IUPUI for Psychology. Her career goal is to give people the help and understanding they deserve. When she is not devoting herself to work, she enjoys reading and playing with her niece.

CRYSTAL CUNNINGHAM, RBT

Crystal grew up in Cayuga, IN but now resides in Crawfordsville. She attended Ivy Tech where she studied Applied Science. Her hopes are to one day continue her education in the same field. Crystal enjoys reading, spending time with her daughter and being around animals.

MICHELLE ROWLEY, RBT

Michelle relocated from Cincinnati to Indianapolis to work at K1ds Count. She attended Mount Saint Joseph University and achieved a BA in psychology. She completed a master’s degree in ABA at the University of Cincinnati and is excited to begin supervision hours to move toward completing her BCBA. Michelle enjoys traveling, shopping, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

PATSY HOFFMAN, RBT

Patch grew up in the Avon area. The has a BS in criminal justice and has spent years working in the school system with children with special needs. She enjoys coaching basketball and hanging out with her 3 boys, 3 dogs, and 2 cats.

EMILY NEU, RBT

Emily grew up in Greenwood. She majored in Biology and minored in psychology at Marian Univeristy. Emily hopes to earn her masters in occupational therapy. She enjoys painting, singing and dancing. She is excited to share her hobbies with the children of K1ds Count.

AMANDA BLADES, RBT

Amanda is from Kokomo, Indiana. She has a degree in general studies and enjoys camping, watching her kids’ sporting events, and garage sales. Her career goal is to be an occupational therapist. She has experience working in a specialized school for children with behavioral challenges, and enjoys her position as an RBT at K1ds Count helping children of all ages and abilities.

NICOLE MADSEN, RBT

Nicole grew up in a small town, Odon, Indiana. She studied sociology at IUPUI, and enjoys being outside. She is passionate about helping others and making a difference in the lives of children.

CARLI HOOVER, RBT

Carli is from Brownsburg. She graduated from Purdue with a degree in speech and hearing sciences with a minor in human development and family studies. She loves to read and watch movies. She is excited to begin a career as an RBT and later attend graduate school to be a BCBA or SLP!

Morgan grew up in Crawfordsville. She is currently studying speech and hearing sciences with a minor in human development and family studies. Her career goal is to become a speech language pathologist. She loves reading and books. Morgan is excited to help children at K1ds Count.

Brittany grew up in Richmond, Indiana. She studied at IU and received a BA in fine arts. Brittany enjoys dancing, sewing, and art/pottery. She enjoys helping children at K1ds Count and looks to pursue graduate school in the future to continue pursuing this passion.

ERICA MIKESELLS, RBT

Erica grew up in Lebanon. She went to Harrison college to be a veterinarian assistant, but through her love for children found ABA therapy. Erica enjoys outdoor activities, crafts, cooking and being with friends and family. She is excited to grow in ABA therapy and help children be the best they can be!

JORDAN KRUML, RBT

Jordan grew up in Avon, Indiana. She attended college at IUPUI. She looks forward to making a difference for others, and specifically loves working with children. Jordan loves reading, walking her dogs, hiking, and camping.

MARIAH COTTONGIM, RBT

Mariah is from Brownsburg and graduated from Brownsburg High School. She is currently enrolled in the pre-nursing program at IUPUI. She is excited help children reach their goals, and continue to learn and grow at K1ds Count.

ALEXANDRIA GOTKOWSKI, RBT

Alex grew up in illinois and moved to Brownsburg in 5th grade. She has a BS in neurobiology and physiology and is looking forward to attending graduate school for occupational therapy. She is excited to work at K1ds Count as a registered behavior technician while going to graduate school. Personally, Alex loves soccer and helping children.

KATIE ROOKER, ABA THERAPIST

Katie grew up in Greencastle, Indiana. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ball State University. She is currently enrolled in Ball State’s Master degree program for Applied Behavioral Analysis with an emphasis in Autism. Her career goal is to graduate with her Master’s degree and become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Katie is excited to be working with the children of K1ds Count while continuing her education in the field of Autism Services.

MALERIE VONBURG, RBT

Malerie grew up in Avon. She has a BS in psychology with a minor in sociology. She enjoys showing her dogs and photography. Malerie loves kids and is excited to pursue ABA therapy.

CORRINE DOLL, RBT

Corrine grew up in Lebanon, Indiana. She has a degree in speech and hearing sciences from Purdue. She enjoys playing piano, puzzles, and movies. Corrine has a passion to help children communicate. She is excited to begin ABA therapy and later become a speech therapist!

MOLLY WEBER, RBT

Molly spent her first 8 years in Costa Rica before moving to Brookeville, IN. She now lives in Indianapolis. Molly received a BA in communication sciences and disorders as well as Spanish from Butler University. She currently has her SLPA license and would like to achieve her MA in speech, BCBA, and work with bilingual populations. She likes K1ds Count because of its integration of OT and speech into ABA and well as for its LAMP expertise, atmosphere, and supportive team. Molly enjoys spending time with her husband, family, cat, and friends. She also likes Netflix, Harry Potter, light crafting, and playing the ukulele.

TANIKKA SPARKS, RBT

Tanikka grew up in Ladoga, Indiana. She studied music education at the University of Indianapolis. She really enjoys the challenge of ABA therapy and loves the kids and her team. Her career goal is to go back to school to someday become a BCBA. Outside of work, she enjoys piano and teaching aerobics.

DENISHA MORALES, RBT

Denisha grew up in Crawfordsville, IN. She attended Manchester University and graduated with a degree in education and Spanish. Denisha works with all kids at our Crawfordsville location, but assists with our Spanish speaking families. She enjoys seeing the progress that the children make. In her personal time, Denisha likes reading and traveling.

DEANNA JANINE GARZA, RBT

Deanna grew up in Texas and recently moved to be with family in Crawfordsville. She graduated with a BA in psychology and later would like to go back for a PhD. Deanna is fluent in Spanish and helps with several of our Spanish speaking families in the ABA program. Outside of work, she loves to read and play with her pets.

KIRSTEN TAFT, RBT

Kirsten grew up in Indianapolis. She is currently attending a graduate program to become a certified occupational therapist. She loves ABA and enjoys directly applying her studies to the children she serves. Kirsten also enjoys exercising, baking, and boating on Dale Hollow Lake.

STORMY JACOBS, RBT

Stormy grew up in Cicero, Indiana. She studied social work at Vincennes University. Her career goal is to obtain a master’s degree in social work. Until then, she really enjoys working with kids doing ABA therapy. She also likes reading, movies, and camping.

Jessica grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana. She received a BA in psychology from IUPUI. Jessica would love to pursue her master’s degree in ABA. She enjoys K1ds Count and working to help children become more independent. Outside of work, she likes dancing and hiking.

ANGEL SMITH, RBT

Angel grew up in Lebannon. She has experience working in childcare, and enjoys the challenge of ABA therapy. Her career goal is to continue working in the field and learning and growing as a therapist. Outside of work, she attends church, loves being with family, and likes to cook.

Chelsea grew up in Avon, IN. She studied psychology at IUPUI. Chelsea’s career goal is to continue to learn and grow as an RBT. Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys shopping, singing, and playing with her dog.

Mercedes is from Crawfordsville, Indiana. She attended IUPUI and received a BA in psychology with a certificate in youth physical wellness. She is excited to continue to serve children as an ABA therapist/RBT. Outside of work, Mercedes enjoys fishing, hunting, and being with friends and family.

COURTNEY STEPHENSON, RBT

Courtney grew up in Clayton, IN and now lives in Brownsburg. She attended Grand Canyon University for Elementary Ed. She has 3 years of experience working with children diagnosed with ASD and 1 year experience as a certified RBT. She looks forward to growing in the field of ABA. Outside of work, she enjoys sports, coaching, and spending time with family.

SAVANNAH ZWICKER, RBT

Savannah grew up in the Indianapolis area. She enjoys the field of ABA. After becoming a certified RBT, Savannah began thinking about education to become a BCaBA. She looks forward to beginning classes in the near future. Outside of work, Savannah loves to camp and spend time with family and friends.

OPHELIA WEIR, RBT

Ophelia grew up in Crawfordsville, IN. She studied psychology and creative writing at DePauw. She enjoys working with children and looks forward to helping others and bettering the lives of children and families she serves.

LACEY BLANTON, RBT

Lacey is from Waveland, Indiana. She is currently attending college for early childhood education. Lacey is excited to begin ABA therapy in Crawfordsville.

Alexis grew up in Marion. She received a BA in psychology and an MA in ABA therapy. Alexis is excited to sit for her BCBA and learn and grow within the field. Alexis loves snowboarding, frisbee golf, being outside, and spending time with family. She has 2 kids and loves to be silly, hugs, and watching kids learn.

DIANNA NORRIS, RBT

Dianna grew up in Stockton, GA and recently moved from Texas to Indianapolis. In the past, Dianna was in the army. After this career, she began working at Autism Learning Partners in Texas. She has 1 year of experience as an RBT in Texas, and moved to Indianapolis after her husband got a job with a racing company. She loves working with children of all ages and looks forward to continuing in the field of ABA at K1ds Count!

AUDREY NELSON, ABA THERAPIST

Audrey grew up in Terra Haute. She received a BA in Communications and Public Relations and then a MA in Public Health. Her passion is working in the schools to better their wellness, health, and well-being. Audrey has 2 dogs and enjoys fitness. She teaches fitness classes outside of work.

HANNAH MCINTIRE, ABA THERAPIST

Hannah grew up mostly in Portage, IN. She studied early childhood education, and she will soon be enrolling in ABA courses. She taught at a preschool for 2.5 years. She now lives in Crawfordsville and is excited to help children make strides in independence. Hannah just recently got married, and outside of work, she enjoys swimming, painting, and drawing.

HALEY ELMORE, ABA THERAPIST

Haley grew up in Evansville, IN and currently lives in West Lafayette. She obtained a degree in speech pathology from Purdue University, and gained experience as a research assistant in an autism lab during college. Haley someday would like to become a BCBA or SLP. Outside of K1ds Count, Haley loves riding horses and coaching soccer!

LAURA BROWN, M.S., CCC-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST LEAD

Laura was born and raised in Terre Haute, IN where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Indiana State University. She later relocated to an Autism clinic in Phoenix where she discovered her passion for helping these children learn the beauty of communication and interactive play. Laura has worked with individuals diagnosed with various disorders including sensory feeding issues, receptive and expressive language delay, pragmatic language delay, voice disorders, dysarthria, and dysphagia. Laura strives to help individuals increase their independence with communication, participation in activities of daily living, and safety to one day become independent members of society.

AMANDA BRINDLE, MA, CCC-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST

Amanda is originally from Brownsburg and graduated from Brownsburg High School. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she received a BS in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She then moved to Louisville where she obtained her master’s degree in speech language pathology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. While in graduate school, Amanda participated in clinical practicums in an outpatient clinic for children and adults, a clinic for children with orofacial anomalies, an adult day program, a hospital with a skilled nursing facility, as well as a residential facility for adults with severe cognitive deficits. Out of graduate school, Amanda remained at the residential facility as a full-time therapist. There she focused on low tech augmentative communication and swallowing disorders. After moving back to Indiana in 2007, she began to work in a specialized school serving children with autism, emotional disability, and other developmental disorders. In addition to their diagnoses, all the children also demonstrate behaviors that impede their ability to be successful in a more traditional school setting. In the school setting, Amanda has experience with articulation disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, low and high tech augmentative communication, and pragmatic language deficits.

KAREN TALBOT, M.A., CF-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST, SCHOOL SERVICES COORDINATOR

Karen was raised in Westfield, Indiana before attending The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences and her Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology. She found her passion for working with children in high school where she volunteered in a local elementary school and in summer camps. In particular, Karen grew to love working with children with special needs during her graduate experience while working at the speech and hearing clinic on campus and in schools in the greater Washington DC area. Karen’s goal is to help each child live a fun and loving life by improving their ability to communicate with peers and their families.

ANNA WORKMAN, M.A., CF-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST

Anna grew up in Springfield, Illinois. She obtained a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Indiana State University. Her career goal is to work with children in a variety of settings and to become a sign language interpreter. She is excited to be part of the team, because of the variety of settings in which she can work with the children served by K1ds Count.

TAYLOR HELTON, MA, CCC-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST

Taylor grew up in Mooresville, Indiana. She achieved her undergraduate degree in speech and hearing sciences from Purdue University and then received her graduate degree in speech and language pathology from Abilene Christian University. Taylor loves reading, boating, and playing with her puppy. Taylor loves working with children in both the clinic and school settings at K1ds Count!

CORINNE GOEN, MS, CCC-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST

Corinne is from Carmel, Indiana. She attended Butler University for her undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders and then attended the University of Hawaii to obtain her MS in communication sciences and disorders. Corinne loves the areas of autism and literacy and wishes to continue to expand her knowledge in these areas.

Alyssa grew up in Danville, Indiana. She studied speech language pathology at Ball State University where she received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Alyssa has developed a passion for working with children on the autism spectrum and would someday like to become a BCBA. Personally, Alyssa loves reading, yoga, and traveling.

Brooke grew up in Indianapolis. She studied at Indiana state to receive her BA in speech and hearing sciences and later achieved her graduate degree in speech pathology from Indiana State. She loves to dance and teach tap! Brook is passionate about improving the lives of others through increasing their ability to communicate!

Ashley received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University to become a speech language pathologist. She enjoys treating pediatric feeding disorders as well as childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). Ashley also has training in LAMP. She has worked with children of all ages and diagnoses to help them increase speech and language skills.

HAYLEY VON BUSKIRK, MA, CCC-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST

Hayley grew up in Terre Haute and now lives in Plainfield. She attended Indiana State University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in speech pathology. She has gained experience with a variety of diagnoses, including autism, in clinic and school based settings. She is excited to be a part of a collaborative team and continue learning as a speech therapist.

KRISTEN HESS, M.A., CCC-SLP, SPEECH THERAPIST

Kristen grew up in Noblesville, IN. She attended Ball State University where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and a minor in Spanish. Kristen discovered her passion for working with children during her undergraduate and graduate level clinicals at the Ball State University Clinic and many years of volunteering through Special Olympics throughout middle school, high school and college. In her free time, Kristen enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends. Kristen’s goal is to help children achieve their full potential with communication and social interactions within their community.

DANIELLE WINKLER, OTR, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST LEAD

Born and raised on the south side of Indianapolis, Danielle attended the University of Indianapolis to complete her bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to pursue her Master of Occupational Therapy. She believes in the holistic approach of therapy, integrating the unique physical, emotional, and psychosocial components of the child while embracing their abilities. A child’s potential extends beyond the boundaries of a diagnosis and she strives to break the environmental barriers to maximize their success and growth by incorporating family values into therapeutic intervention. Her background includes program development and curriculum design of community based outreach programs for at-risk populations, designed to promote character growth and skill building. She has worked in community, outpatient, and home-based settings with children and young adults of many backgrounds and circumstances. Her clinical interests include implementation of visual and sensory supports to reduce behavior and improve overall participation in activities of daily living while fostering a sense of independence for the kids we serve. She is most excited about the opportunity to collaborate with other passionate team members!

HILLARY OTT, OTR, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST LEAD

Hillary grew up in Franklin Township on the southeast side of Indianapolis. She attended the University of Southern Indiana where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in health services with a minor in psychology, as well as her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Hillary is passionate about the fundamental constructs of OT, placing importance on inclusion, well-being, and the capacity for enhanced quality of life for all individuals. At the end of her high school career, Hillary worked as an aid for children diagnosed with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders, and knew her passion for helping kiddos with disabilities fit hand-in-hand with the profession of OT. While completing her pediatric fieldwork in Nashville, TN, Hillary had the opportunity to work with children diagnosed with down syndrome, autism, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorder, and various psychiatric diagnoses. Hillary enjoys employing sensory integration techniques to enhance the child’s ability to complete tasks, and places great importance on collaborating with parents, ABA therapists, and other K1ds Count professionals in order to facilitate the greatest progress for each child’s journey.

JOANNA HOLSAPPLE, OTR, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Joanna was born and raised near Bloomington, Indiana. She decided that she wanted to be an Occupational Therapist after her sister, a physical therapy assistant, introduced her to the field of OT. Joanna attended the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in 2014 and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in May 2015. While in college, Joanna had the opportunity to work as a patient care technician in an acute care hospital, which solidified her decision to pursue Occupational Therapy. She completed two fieldwork rotations while in OT school working with the pediatric population, including children with feeding disorders, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, autism, sensory processing disorders, as well as adults with developmental disabilities. She also participated in a community service project while in OT school about ADA compliance in regards to playground accessibility and as a result, is passionate about inclusion in play. Joanna’s clinical interests including working with children who have difficulties with feeding, sensory issues, social skills, and handwriting. She enjoys working with children and is passionate about providing each child with the means to successfully perform meaningful occupations independently. Joanna is very excited to work with a team that will impact the lives of children and their families for years to come.

Emily grew up in the Quad cities on the Mississippi River. She studied psychology at IUPUI and then received her graduate degree in occupational therapy. She enjoys reading books, watching movies, and visiting her nephews. Her careers goal is to empower children of all abilities to be the best they can be. She loves learning about sensory integration and how it impacts our daily activities. She is excited to help children at K1ds Count every day!

Alyssa grew up here in Brownsburg. She graduated with her BS from Purdue and went on to receive an MS in occupational therapy. Alyssa became interested in working with children with autism following research and volunteer experiences in college. Personally, Alyssa enjoys hiking, reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family. Alyssa is excited about her career with K1ds Count and helping families and children with autism.

KATE WAGNER, MS, OTR, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Kate grew up in Terra Haute. She attended the University of Southern Illinois to receive her MS in occupational therapy. Her clinical work in graduate school consisted of working with children with ASD. She is excited to work at K1ds Count in a team environment that focuses on a holistic approach to treatment for each child. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, being outside, and spending time with her husband and dog.

JAMIE APPELSIES, MS, OTR, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Jamie grew up in Munster, IN before moving to Carmel, Indiana in middle school. She attended Indiana University, Bloomington where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in applied health sciences with a minor in youth development and psychology. She then went on to get her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Indiana University on IUPUI’s campus. Jamie participated in Best Buddies and peer mentoring in high school, which is where she discovered her passion for working with children with disabilities. While completing her pediatric fieldwork rotation, she worked with children with down syndrome, autism, rare genetic conditions, cerebral palsy, and various diagnoses. During graduate school, she had the opportunity to participate in a service learning trip to Belize where she spent most of her time working with ‘at risk youth’ on shaping their futures. Jamie is excited to work with ABA therapist, BCBAs, program managers, speech therapists and physical therapist to help children reach their highest potential.

KEELEY KARNES, MS, OTR, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Keeley grew up in Carmel, Indiana. She obtained a Bachelor degree in Therapeutic Recreation from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She then went on to receive her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. Her passion for working with kids stems from working multiple summers at camps for children with different diagnoses and abilities as a lifeguard and activity staff. Previously to coming to K1ds Count, Keeley worked as an OT in a residential school. She has a passion for sensory regulation, inclusion of all abilities, and focusing on what individuals are capable of, not their limitations. She enjoys camping, kayaking, playing board games, and spending time with her family. Keeley is excited to learn from and collaborate with all of the amazing disciplines at K1ds Count!

NEELY LANE, PT, NCS, PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Neely is a Tennessee native who moved to Indiana four years ago. Neely graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1993 with a BS in Kinesiology, and from East Tennessee State University in 1998 with a BS in Physical Therapy. She became an APTA certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist in 2006, and has headed outpatient Vestibular Rehabilitation programs for over ten years. Neely became interested in becoming a PT while volunteering in a rehabilitation hospital while in high school. She is a new member of the K1ds Count team and is excited to learn more about this amazing program. Her pediatric experience includes infants to teens, with diagnoses including congenital torticollis, gross motor developmental delay, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, traumatic brain injury, wound/burn care, complex seizure disorders, sports related injuries, and multi-trauma. Neely has been married 28 years, and has an 18 year old son and a 14 year old daughter.

MYSHIA SIMON, OFFICE SPECIALIST

Myshia grew up on a farm in Montgomery County, Indiana. When growing up, she always knew she wanted help others by encouraging growth within their lifestyle. Myshia has helped coached gymnastics with her mom since she was 16. They have coached children ranging in age from 2 to 18. Myshia worked in customer service for a total of 6 years with the same company. She then completed an E.M.T course in 2010 and worked as an E.M.T for 2 years. In 2016, Myshia graduated from Brown Mackie College with an Associates of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assisting. She then went on to work in a nursing facility and realized she wanted to pursue a career in a pediatric environment. Myshia joined the Kids Count team in September of 2016. She is supported by her husband, Brian and all of her family members.

DANELLE DEAN, OFFICE SPECIALIST

Danelle grew up in Hobart Indiana and graduated high school in 2007. She studied business at Ivy Tech and made a career change to ABA last year. Danelle wants to continue her education and advance her career at Kids Count. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Danelle loves working with and impacting the lives of children.

MCKENZIE BEACH, BILLING SPECIALIST

McKenzie, born in California, moved to Bloomington, Indiana with her family when she was 12 years old.  A 2014 graduate of Indiana University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She’s always had a passion for working with children, serving as an assistant pre-school teacher and ice skating instructor while she attended IU.  Her interest in working with children grew even more as she completed a semester-long internship at Children’s Therapy Center in Bloomington.  Hoping to continue meaningful work with children, she found her place when she joined the Kids Count team in 2015.  In her personal time, McKenzie loves spending time with her husband and daughter.  She still likes to figure skate when her schedule permits.

KALINA CHEW, CCS, CPC, BILLING SPECIALIST

Kalina grew up in Crawfordsville, Indiana, but currently lives in Avon. She attended Ivy Tech to achieve her associates degree in business administration, and went on to receive continuing education in medical billing. She looks forward to continuing to grow in her career. She is dedicated, hardworking, and continually grows in her work. Personally, she loves to spend time with her dog, husband, and son.

JAMES NOAH BAKER, BILLING SPECIALIST

Noah grew up in Virginia and currently lives in Speedway. He received an associate’s degree in automotive technology. He has been in and around the field of ABA therapy for the last 10 years. Noah enjoys problem solving and looks forward to developing in this role. Outside of work, Noah is married and has a 3 year-old son, Gryffin. In Noah’s free time, he likes to play video games, read comics, and podcasting.

KAREN VALLEDARES, BILLING SPECIALIST

Karen lives in Avon. She is currently in school for accounting. She came to K1ds Count because of her love for children. Karen has 3 children and loves being involved in her church and spending time with her family.

JULIE MCCAMMON, BILLING SPECIALIST

Julie grew up in Vincennes. She completed a Vincennes University and Indiana State University to complete her degree in elementary education. After her teaching career, she was looking for a change of pace and found K1ds Count. She is enjoying being a part of our office team. Julie likes hanging out with her daughters, reading, and crafts.

CAROLYN BEATTY, OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Carolyn grew up in Northeastern Ohio. She then moved to Chicago, IL to attend DePaul University where she graduated with a BA in Sociology in 2010. It wasn’t until her last semester when she learned about autism and knew that it was the field she wanted to pursue a career in. Upon graduating, Carolyn moved to Indiana and immediately began working as an ABA therapist. She also has experience working in a developmental preschool with children of various developmental disabilities. Connecting with children and finding the most meaningful way of teaching them is Carolyn’s greatest passion. She is so excited to be a part of the K1ds Count team!

LATIFA COX, OUTPATIENT COORDINATOR

Latifa grew up in Germany until the age of 9 and then moved to Indianapolis. She went to IU to study psychology and worked in several research labs focusing on childhood development. She also has experience working with kids and adults in the mental health field for the last 5 years in both home therapy and clinic based settings where she gained experience learning about funding, assessments, prior authorizations, and service coordination. Latifa began at K1ds Count as an RBT, and recently transitioned to the office team to begin her role as the outpatient services coordinator.

JASON BROWN, MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

Jason grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana. He studied liberal arts at IUPUI. Jason has been around the field of special education and developmental disabilities for many years through his involvement with Damar Services. Jason’s wife is the Director of educational Services at Damar. Jason is excited to be a part of a small business that provides quality services to children
